You are defined by your identity in Him.

This scripture also calls the church into accountability:

Hi, I have truly accepted Christ just half a year ago but...I have fallen short as before I had guilt related sh that I got used to and now I'm trying to not fall into it again since then, yet still fallen short few days ago. I ask for God to strengthen my faith in him that in any situation, I don't feel ashamed to come to him and don't fall short on my own understandings and methouds.

I feel grateful for this sense of peace I have within me. I’ve been praying for peace through trouble times. I’ve prayed for clarity and serenity. Lately I’ve been feeling a shift that’s changing and transitioning to someone I’m created to be. I feel grateful that my prayer life has expanded and I can hear God’s gentle voice more, following his guidance, and listening to his instructions even when it doesn’t always make sense to me. I’m grateful for this shift spiritually and mentally. I want hold on to this sense of peace as long as I can with God showing me ways to protect my peace. God’s been showing me who I am little by little, getting to understand myself better and walk accordingly. I’ve been so grateful for more brighter days. I am 39 years old and I am still married to my child's father. We have been living separate for over 7 years. I am trying to start the divorce proceedings so that we are both free to live our lives. Well 16 years ago before him and I met, I was having phone conversations with another man. I was going through my first divorce and the guy was only a friend I communicate with by phone. This man has been on my mind lately and I can't shake it. I only say all of this to be able to make my prayers request. I'm thankful for the new mercy and grace God gives every morning. I pray nobody abuses it by sinning against God.

Tomorrow morning I have an important exam that I need to pass. It's not a hard exam, it's tricky and really stressful. I know I can do this but there's always a chance that I will do something dumb during the exam and fail. So Please, pray for me because I am really scared and I cannot see myself not passing that exam.

I am about to return to work after having surgery and couple weeks ago. Please I ask that you pray for me, I currently dont feel like I have the full strength necessary for that yet. I pray that me and my mom both get healed completely and that we are both protected, and that the business im trying to start up is successful as I invested more money into it than I thought. And something I really want to pray for is for God to reveal what my gift id, my spiritual gift and my purpose in life, what I am meant to do.

Reflection:
This verse paints a powerful picture.

In biblical times, a city without walls was:
   •   Unprotected
   •   Vulnerable to attack
   •   Easily invaded
   •   Without stability or defense

God is saying that a person who lacks self-control, emotional restraint, or discipline is just as vulnerable.

When we don’t rule our spirit:
   •   Anger can control us
   •   Temptation can defeat us
   •   People can manipulate us
   •   The enemy can gain access
   •   Emotions can lead us into destruction

Self-control is not weakness it is spiritual strength.
When you rule your spirit, you:
✅ Guard your heart
✅ Protect your peace
✅ Make wise decisions
✅ Shut the door to the enemy
✅ Walk in maturity

But when you don’t rule your spirit, life becomes reactive instead of purposeful. You move based on feelings instead of faith.

God is calling us to build spiritual walls boundaries, discipline, prayer, and self-control so that we are fortified, stable, and unshakable.

You can’t control what happens around you, but you must control what happens within you.

Prayer:
Father God,
Help me to rule my spirit with your wisdom and strength.
Give me self-control over my thoughts, emotions, reactions, and desires.

Close every door that anger, temptation, or weakness has opened.
Build spiritual walls around my heart walls of discipline, peace, and righteousness.

God has helped me so much and put so many amazing people in my life that had helped me through one of the hardest times of my life where I felt alone but even in the moment I never was truly alone for i felt God beside me at all times. God made sure I felt happy in my sorrows even if I didn't want to feel it God still put gratitude and love in my heart that I'll forever be thankful for.

My dog was taken to the vet and me and my mom were there since around 12:00 AM - around 5:00 AM and my dog is constipated and he seems sad but he got pain medicine but could you all pray for him because he is not himself and it makes me sad to see him not himself

Pray for people who call God a human false made up idol and accuse us believers of putting faith in a human man to lower that arrogant pride and realize God is not human and he is not false. He is all knowing, supernatural holy Spirit God no human could ever conjure up.

Please say urgent prayers for my pet. I forgot about him in the bathtub. The warm water got cold and he was trapped there for 3 hours. He didn't drown. He can't regulate his own body temperature though and I'm trying to warm him up now.

Prayer:
Father God,
Help me to walk in your love even toward those who have hurt or opposed me. Give me the strength to respond with kindness instead of retaliation, grace instead of anger.

Soften my heart, Lord, and protect it from bitterness. Teach me to see people the way you see them as souls in need of your love and transformation.
