Pray for me, I suffer from poor eyesight and a lack of boredom.

Struggling with loneliness. I am 32. Twice divorced. Physical abuse and adultery were my reasons for leaving. I have 1 child. I feel unworthy of romantic love. Yet I want to trust that God will bring me a Christian man to share my life with. Who will lead me. But my mind keeps telling me that no one would want me. The things I have to offer in a relationship aren’t financial. Do I continue to pray for God to bring me someone? Or do I give up? Would God place that desire in my heart and then not grant my prayers? There is nowhere in the Bible that speaks of single mothers and marrying. I feel alone. I am generally an optimist, but this weighs heavily on me. Especially being the only single mother in my church.

Grateful for the peace I feel. Everyone around me is struggling, but the Lord has given me such peace.

No Juzguemos Desde Nuestra Perspectiva

Ver con los ojos de Dios no es una tarea sencilla. Esto es así, porque cuando enfocamos nuestra mirada desde el punto de vista de Dios, el panorama se amplia tremendamente. El pasaje nos dice que Dios no se fija en lo externo, sino que en lo interno. Él ve el corazón que cada persona tiene.
Con el corazón se refiere a que puede ver las motivaciones, las intenciones que tiene el corazón, por ende no se limita a solo la acción, sino que puede mirar más allá, Él puede notar el porqué de las cosas, el porqué de las reacciones.

Imagina lo que sucedería si tomáramos tiempo para identificar por qué las reacciones de nuestro cónyuge, de nuestros hijos o de quienes nos rodean. Recuerdo una escena de la película “La cabaña”, donde el protagonista se encuentra con una figura que representa a la justicia de Dios. Allí se le muestra un episodio de su propia historia: su padre siendo maltratado por su abuelo. Esa revelación le enseña que es difícil juzgar a alguien de la misma manera cuando conocemos el peso de su pasado y como ha marcado su vida. Más bien, nos recuerda que cada persona tiene un trasfondo en lo profundo de su corazón, y solo al invertirnos en el otro podemos comprenderlo.

En el matrimonio es vital dejar de mirar las cosas únicamente desde nuestra perspectiva. Necesitamos aprender a ver lo que ocurre en el corazón del otro. Cuando nos interesamos genuinamente en conocerlos, entendemos por qué surgen ciertas actitudes o situaciones. No para justificarlas o dejarlas pasar, sino para abordarlas con una estrategia diferente: con gracia, verdad y propósito.

He’s going through a very hard time, he struggles with turning away from it, he incrementally has stopped for a couple months and then goes back to it again and starts feeling guilty, and then wondering if god has forgiven him for it. “Blessed be God who can make us jump from the deep into the deep.” (Psalm 139:7) Father, I lift him up into Your loving embrace, trusting in Your boundless power to restore his health. I pray for healing that goes beyond just the physical. I pray for renewed energy, clear breathing, and a spirit strengthened to face this challenge.

“He who walks with me can make a way under my feet.” (Psalm 18:3) Lord, you are the one who provides the path when we feel lost. I ask for Your guidance and intervention in his recovery. Give him the strength to endure, and the wisdom to manage his symptoms. Please ease his pain and bring him relief.

“You will restore what has been cut away, You will heal what has been torn.” (Psalm 46:12) I pray that You will mend the brokenness within him, both physically and spiritually. Bring wholeness to his body and restore him to full health. I ask for Your grace and healing touch upon him.
