I think my own family envies me. Almost as if it’s some sort of competition. My siblings, including my own mother. And my own father betrayed me. I feel abused, controlled and manipulated.

Following my previous prayer request, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to the Lord. I had an appointment with my ophthalmologist today, and unfortunately, the pressure in my right eye is high. Rather than proceeding immediately with a major surgery to insert a drainage device for long-term glaucoma management, the doctor suggested a non-invasive laser procedure to try and reduce the pressure. However, the effect of this treatment may only last for 3-6 months, after which, if the pressure rises again to abnormal levels, I may need to undergo the more invasive surgery. Despite this, I am thankful to the Lord for reminding me that He is in control of the situation. I will continue to put my faith, hope, and trust in Him as I walk with Him daily. I’m seeking a second opinion about the possibility of major surgery on my right eye, which is affected by glaucoma and may require the insertion of a drainage device. This procedure carries risks for me, especially since I have Sturge-Weber syndrome. I’m eager to hear the ophthalmologist's advice. I’d like to share a few thoughts. Not sure who’s going to see it but I’ve been very busy, work and mental health. Ever since I was young I always believed in god, but never looked towards him. But as I got older (15-18yrld) I hit bumps in the road and got major depression. I felt heart broken and lost, with major butterflies of pain. I put my heart into a girls hand and it got destroyed. I’ve always had a big heart, I’m full of love, so I get easily hurt. But when I got hurt the most, I got closer to god. I’d pray to him here and there and just chat with him, or even talk about my feelings and tell him I understand what you’re doing is building me blah blah blah etc. no matter what, I’d never blame or get mad at god for how I feel or what’s happened, and I’d never pray and say to help me and get rid of it and ask for stuff, I’d ask god to stay with me, be there as I tread my own path. And as time goes on I can tell, what I’ve been through has progressively changed me for the good. Each bad interaction I get with life molds me, I can only tell with time and effort. I’ve recently been getting much better thanks to him upstairs, with the people who somehow got in my life and put their own mark on me to keep on going. Everything that has happened to me, made me, me. And I’m sure I would’ve gone down a bad path of drug addiction or became an alcoholic. Instead, I let god become my drug. The lord, I’d given what’s left of my heart, molded it back for me. All those times I’ve cried and felt lost, or hurt, every time i thought of disappearing, eventually I’d look towards god and ask for help and forgiveness. I’m not perfect, and I’m still not perfect, nor will I ever be. I know I’m not a great follower of god and pray every night, but im eternally grateful for what he’s done and I’ll progressively work harder to be a better follower. God works in mysterious ways. And who knows, I hope by sharing this little story, helped someone out or maybe opened their mind a little to god. I hope whoever reads this has a beautiful day/night. I think I’m losing my faith in Jesus.
I have been living more for myself, and I’ve been praying less and less, reading the Bible less and less, doing all these spiritual things I should be doing daily way less than I should. It’s scaring me. However, I have no doubt that Jesus was and always will be, but I’m struggling with Doing godly things. I feel like every time I try and read the word or pray, or even go to church, I feel like it’s a lot of work. Am I spiritually burned out? Or am I actually losing faith in Christ?

Hello brothers and sisters in Christ.
I'm currently struggling with the mix feelings I have, some things that are complicated. I liked this guy for years now and he liked me back (it was the time I'm not yet close with the Lord and savior Jesus Christ). And we're in a situationship if that's the right word? Because I'm not yet allowing myself to date. We're in a situationship for about 2 years it was all great at first then it hit rock bottom, it was so complicated for the both of us and his going through tough times. He started to have suicidal thoughts and sharing me his plans to suicide (sorry for the word) and he was just depressed, I did all I could to be there and for him to be better but it only made it worse, the worse is that I'm also starting to be depressed because of the situation we have it's just too dark and void. But this year I felt the calling and started my walk with God, I fasted for 2 days seeking answers of what God wanted me to do. And I heard the word "leave him". So I did it's not easy but I made it with the help of God, we don't have closure though because it was so difficult to make him understand what I feel, it was being ignored somehow. Months passed I still pray for him continuesly, his always in my mind thinking if he's alright, is he fine now, is he doing okay.
So I'd like to ask for prayers for me to be not confused and for him to be saved, because I'm having the sensation of returning to this guy or make a closure with him and I don't want to do anything that is not according to Father's will.

I seek prayers to assist me in fostering a deeper prayer life. Although I pray every day, I feel my prayers lack sincerity and are merely performed out of obligation. I desire my prayers to be more personal and less mechanical, making them truly significant for both myself and others.

That's great you've decided to come back to Christ I've been a Christian just a little over a year Not sure how much advice I can give you but Not sure how much advice I can give you but I'll try it can be easy to get discouraged Whether it be for one thing or another But remember it says God's grace is sufficient for you It can sometimes be a challenge to pray or to read the Bible but my advice would be to try to at least read Chapter of the Bible a day and download a bible app lap that allows you to listen to the Bible in audio so you can play it as you go about your day and just keep on listening and listening to it trusting in God's mercy can sometimes be hard but don't let satan and deceive you into thinking God's giving up on you Or that he won't forgive you And if you are having a hard time knowing what to pray Try not to get stressed out and Ramble on or keep asking over and over but just trust that the Lord knows what you need and something even as simple as Lord you know would suffice Not sure how much advice I can really give you except try to remain consistent in Reading the Bible and have a consistent prayer life and seek first the Kingdom its power and glory and all else will be added on to you And the most important thing to remember and sometimes I think it can be easy to forget this is that JESUS LOVES YOU So I hope what I've said has given you some advice and encouragement and I definitely look up some Christian content on YouTube I find that very helpful so God bless and I pray for you and your journey with Christ
