Good day to those reading this❤️ i would like to share something i learned from a youtube channel called Bible project, some other information i made myself. The ten commandments was given to israel after being rescued from their identity as slaves. So one way to think about the commandments is a freedom ethic. And when he gave the commandments he rescued and took care of the people, showing them his heart before his commands like adam and eve. Now what i want to talk about is the first commandment , you shall have no other elohims before me. Elohim meaning spiritual being, and the word before me 'al panai can be, instead of me, against me, beside me, or in front of me. All of which the phrase you shall have no other elohim before me, instead of me, against me, infront of me, can work with. Power, money, lust, or what you put before God or what you serve and what you pledge your time and service to can be equivalents of Elohim. So serve God only, live in truth, and remember...
