🌿 Do we take advantage of opportunities for an encounter with Jesus? Thinking about the story of Zacchaeus, a key detail caught my attention: he was short in stature and the crowd prevented him from seeing Jesus, but he did not let obstacles or fear of what others might say take away the opportunity. He ran and climbed a sycamore tree to be able to see him. Zacchaeus believed and created the opportunity. In our daily lives, sometimes the obstacle is not height, but haste, noise, or routine. Opportunities to meet Jesus do not always come in big events, but in small daily pauses, in moments of prayer, or in gestures of empathy towards others.
