Job was a man who was righteous and was innocent and feared God, he was rich and had many possesions. One day the satan came to God when the sons of God or angels were with Him. God spoke about Job and satan said he is only obedient because of what he has, so God allowed satan to take away everything, his animals, his family, everything, but Job remained obedient. satan again said he was only obedient because he had his health. So God allowed satan to inflict him with a disease. But Job did not curse. God even when his wife told him to. However he did curse the day of his birth. Then his friends came to him and were saying he had done something wrong since all this had happened to him. But intact Job was innocent. Then Job came to question God why he had allowed this, but God did not answer that question. He instead showed him the wonders of the world and everything, the beast leviathan and behemoth. And humbled Job, in the end God restored Job and doubled everything he had except for his children and family. I hope this helps please tell us if your brother is more convinced
