What I've come to learn recently is that sexual immortality and lust, they arent your battle. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 NIV [3] It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; He says to avoid it, so you should, but ultimately you are human. Your flesh fights for you and you aren't strong enough to win. But God is. He is capable of anything. So run from lust, don't fight it. Avoid it, and pray God will fight the battle for you. And God wins every battle he fights. Exodus 14:14 NIV [14] The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Deuteronomy 3:22 NIV [22] Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.” So hating yourself and fighting your flesh will not take away desires. Rather, wait on God, seek him. Matthew 6:33 NIV [33] But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Dont give the devil the time of day. If he tries to bring something into your life that leads you into sexual immortality, turn away, and put all your focus and trust in God. Dont forget though, Proverbs 24:16 NIV [16] for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.

I personally have found fasting and scripture reading to help. I have also been addicted to porn for over 20 years. With the LORD'S help I have been slowly over coming into the past 1.5 years. Stay strong. Find fellow brothers to help. Don't get discouraged.
