Good day to those reading this❤️ i would like to share something i learned from a youtube channel called Bible project. Praying should not be treated only as a time to ask God for what you want. Jesus even gave us an example of a prayer like the Our Father. Our Father, who art in Heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Starts with acknowledging God: Our Father, who art in Heaven. Hallowed be thy name.

And then doing God's will: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Then our own concerns but not riches like a new car, new blessings, etc. But with trust in God, trusting that He will give us what we need: Give us this day our daily bread. ( And Jesus was telling this to poor people who were opressed by the Romans and how God provided His people with enough manna each day).

Then forgiveness: Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And walk righteously and asking not to get tempted or tested and for rescue: And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

It is about doing God's will, not our will. To not treat our Heavenly Father as a vending machine but with the respect God absolutely deserves. To approach prayer with a sincere heart (which i can find hard to do personally since i dont really know what to ask for and then just end up saying let your will be done and help us obey you over and over again). But we should pray with persistence. And acknowledging His position over us, and knowing that He knows the best for us, and wants to help us in all our ways putting our trust in Him. To surrender and submit to His will and that God can do anything and as long as you ask, seek, knock and keep doing it, it will be given if it is in God's will and that you are not asking for the wrong things. To forgive as He has forgiven you and others that wronged you. Let us always reflect and apply God's word to our lives. And remember, Jesus loves you, and God bless.❤️❤️‍🩹🙏🕊

[8] So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. [9] “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. [10] ‘ Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. [11] ‘Give us this day our daily bread. [12] ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [13] ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. ’ [14] For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. [15] But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
