Good day to those reading this.❤️ I would like to emphasize loving and serving Jesus, so how do we do it?

Well, loving God, is loving others. Serving God, is serving others. Let us look at the fifth commandment, something that somewhat bridges the gap between loving God and loving your neighbor as yourself. It says to honor your father, and your mother.

Exodus 20:12 NASB2020
[12] “Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the Lord your God gives you.

At the time of Jesus people gave their money that was for their parents to the temple for God, pretty much as a loophole to not give it to their parents. Jesus pretty much said that that is backwards, because honoring your father, and your mother is honoring God. So when you see your parents angry for the chores not being done, do them. See someone dropping their belongings, help them pick it up. See someone struggle with a task, help them. So, serve and loves others, because that is how you can serve and love God, as the Bible says in:

Matthew 25:40, 45 NASB2020
[40] And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’
[45] Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for Me, either.’

Matthew 15:3-6 NASB2020
[3] And He answered and said to them, “Why do you yourselves also break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? [4] For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and, ‘The one who speaks evil of father or mother is to be put to death.’ [5] But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever I have that would help you has been given to God,” [6] he is not to honor his father or mother.’ And by this you have invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

Mark 10:43-45 NASB2020
[43] But it is not this way among you; rather, whoever wants to become prominent among you shall be your servant; [44] and whoever wants to be first among you shall be slave of all. [45] For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

John 14:15 NASB2020
[15] “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
