Here we go …. So the last year and a half my father cheated on my mother with my coworker he lied to all of us about it to the point I believe that he even took her into the hotel room I paid for. for us to stay in he completely left everything on my shoulders to pay for I’m completely financially and emotionally drained because of it I’ve never been so angry with life before. Now I’ve found out he still is living two lives one with my mother trying to patch things together and another life with her I’m to the point where I forgive him for my sake but I dont want him in my life anymore it has taken a huge toll on my self and my girlfriend we are falling apart I work away from home for long periods of time and I can feel everything slip away from me I’m not Christian or catholic but I do believe in Jesus Christ and I know that this path is making me stronger as a person but mentally it’s taking a toll on me

hi y’all. i need advice, im not sure what to do.

so the last few weeks i’ve been feeling like i was losing my friends. i thought i was losing the friend who was always here for me and i thought would always be. i’ll call her M so last week one of my other friends i’ll call her A, blew up on me and said a lot of hurtful stuff and said stuff that i did (that i never did any of the stuff she said). i texted M and asked her who’s side she was on and why she didn’t stand up for me. She sent a really long msg, long story short. she is not on my side. i talked with M in person the next day and she didn’t even bring up anything from the text. that day A asked if i was mad at her from the day before and i said no, and i forgave her. i told A that i just wish she had told me smth sooner.

Next thing… a few days later i was at home doing nothing and M facetimed me. she was with a few other people hanging out. that hurt me bc i wish they invited me to hang out. I texted M later and asked if the next time they hung out if they could invite me and M said “well i wasn’t the one who planned it so i can’t control it” and by the way she’s been acting, she seemed mad. I don’t know what to do. i feel broken and the only one i can talk to is God and my parents. idk what to do.

Please pray for a brother in Christ who told me that he smokes a pipe. I’m so scared for his health because that terrible habit can cause cancer.

When I was in middle school, my dad (who is someone else) almost died from smoking too many cigarettes. He had to quit and thankfully he did. That saved his life, but I hated seeing how that habit was killing him slowly.

Gosh I HATE tobacco. I hate cigarettes, pipes, cigars - anything you can smoke with, because it’s killed SO many people. Smoking is called a silent killer for a reason. People think it’s fine to do it while smoking eats away at their health.

I don't want this to be repetitive, but yet again, I fell into the sin of lust and masturbation. I've repented countless times, yet of course I just fall back into it. It destroys my faith and my relationship with Him, yet of course my stupid self still does it. Just yesterday, I was doing well, I was relying on God's strength, and instead of focusing on Him, I focused on how bad I was being tempted. I pulled a Peter move. Pray that I will rely on God's strength and focus on Him and not the temptation.

My mobile home floor foundation is giving way and I need new flooring but I'm a 63 year old disabled Christian man who is very low income and I cannot possibly afford it , I don't want to step through the floor n be injured or have my home red tagged n face eviction and lose my home of 17 years . Lust is the hardest sin for me to overcome and I have fallen many times. I have repented many times, I’ve asked for forgiveness many times, and I’ve got up many times but I need prayer to help me turn away from lust.

Hello, I am a believer and currently i see many false teachings that seems right on the internet, it’s more like s half truth than a complete lie. Also, i wrote this in order to help the believers not to believe in the false teaching, it is a little micmicking the bible writing style because i am influenced:
The Mistake in faith

Truly, the mistake of many faith communities—whether large and wise or small and few—is believing that faith in the Son alone is sufficient, without the Father or the Holy Spirit. Some think that faith in the Father alone is enough, others believe in the Son alone but insist that good works must prove their faith, assuming that by doing so, they are proving belief in the other two Persons. But that is not the truth. Only those who believe in the Trinity God have faith.

Good works are merely the shadow of the Holy Spirit. No one looks at a shadow to determine faith; rather, they look at the One who commands and teaches. No one cuts off a branch simply because its fruit is small or because it has not yet borne fruit, but because it refuses to receive nourishment from the source of life. Indeed, I tell you, good works should come from the Holy Spirit. But even if they do, did God ever say, “Because you do good works and believe in the Son, you have faith”? No, he did not. He would surely say, “Because you obey the Holy Spirit and believe in the Son, you truly believe in the Father as well.”

Did the apostles ever teach, “A branch that has not yet borne fruit will be cut off, so hurry and bear fruit”? No, they did not. They taught that a branch that stubbornly refuses to receive life will be cut off, even if it clings to the tree. So, I affirm once again and make it clear: Faith in God is enough—nothing more, nothing less. One must believe in all Trinity. Whoever deliberately and continuously disobeys one of the three-father, son and holy spirit, also disobeys all Three. From this, fruitfulness or barrenness follows. But the result has never been the proof of the root, for we cannot always distinguish true fruit. Only an expert can discern which fruit comes from which source. If there really is something that is the prove of faith, then it is only the holy spirit, not the good deeds itself. Why? Because atheist also do good deeds, so does it means they have faith? By no mean, only those who have the holy spirit and obey him has faith.

Therefore, as believers, do not create or add doctrines if they contradict—even in the smallest way—the Word of God. What I say is not new; it has already been taught but has not yet been fully understood. This is the answer to these uncertainties. If you find anything in my words that is inconsistent with Scripture, then I should be ashamed. But if it is confirmed and proven to be in harmony with the Bible, then take it and use it to guard against errors in faith.

And those who use faith in the Son as an excuse to say, “I have freedom, so I will live as I please,” are those who disobey the Holy Spirit. As a mere human, I do not dare to condemn, but I am certain that if one continues to live this way until death, they will have disobeyed the Holy Spirit for a lifetime. And if they have continuously disobeyed the Spirit, then they no longer have faith in the other two-father and son, either. It is said clearly in hebrew 6:8, you should read it, if anyone disobey the holy spirit and bear evil fruit consistently, then they will be cut off like a branch that is stubbornly refuse the sourse of root-holy spirit. Why, they have faith, why they go to hell? Because they don’t believe in holy spirit, and holy spirit is the father and the son too, so they don’t have faith in fact.

One cannot claim to trust someone while consistently refusing to listen to them. Likewise, a person cannot claim to believe in God while refusing to obey the Holy Spirit—the will and guidance of the Trinity God. Therefore, examine yourselves and walk on the path that has been laid before you. It is the only way. The other paths that were once established have now been nullified and are no longer firm (the Old Testament sacrifices). So if you find yourself although believe in the Son but deny the holy spirit, then repent, if you find yourself doing good deeds to prove faith then repent, you are just faking the behavior of the holy spirit instead of hearing him. No one come to the father except for through the Son first.

I do not say this to threaten or instill fear, but so that my brothers and sisters may be aware and self-disciplined.

I am heartbroken to see that many believe in false doctrine and just refuse my opinion while don’t even think about it. Remember, the devil no longer lies to deceive, but they say the half truth to trick you. Don’t fall for the trap of theirs, so I’m just want to give you this word: when interprete the bible, always be awared of how you understand, if it contradict something in the bible then you know it’s not from god. I don’t want any of my brother and sister just walk to the destruction path without knowing about it.

One more time, i warn, if you believe and practice this : good deeds prove your faith, then you’re very wrong, good deeds not always come from faith, and you never know who have holy spirit which is the real proof of faith, so don’t try to prove anything from your faith, instead, obey the holy spirit, trust god, trust jesus, all the good deeds, don’t care about it, god will work through you, don’t ever do anything good to make something involved with your salvation. “The one who is saved do good works but not all the one who do good works is saved”.

Hi my dear brothers and sisters! May the joy of the Lord be with you. I want to ask for some prayer for my job offer. I got the job and I’m in the “gathering documents” phase and pre-hire requirements at the moment. I completed two assessments, one I received a good score, all correct, but the other one that spoke about things I have done in a workplace, I score a rating of around 1.4/4 due the fact that I answered some questions like “toileting, handling patients, administering medication, behavior management etc.” as “inexperienced” or “haven’t tried, but have observed,” though it’s a school-based teaching assistant position. I would appreciate prayers that it all goes smoothly regardless of this and that my score of 1.4/4 doesn’t hinder anything at all because I know that it is the Lord who guides my steps and if it is in the Lord’s will, nothing can stop the process.

I got the job, and I need prayer for it to go smoothly and for nothing to get in the way.

My husband and I have been married for a year and a half. We've been planning on having a baby, but recently, his mother cursed me and my life. I've been trying to let it go as I believe the blood of Jesus overcame all curses and sin over my life. I do, however, feel my husband doesn't seem to understand how much his mother hates me. He still talks to her as if nothing has happened and won't draw any boundaries. I pray that his mother turns away from her wicked ways and truly be saved by the love of Christ.
