The Path to Genuine Humility: Shifting Focus from Self to Service

While practicing humility with the help of the Holy Spirit, I realized I was often just trying to appear "humble," which was actually disguised pride.

My unconscious thoughts had formed a flawed concept: "I am better than others because I possess humility, and they do not," or "Others are not superior to me because I have the virtue of humility."

This faulty perception showed me that my approach to self-improvement was incorrect. I discovered that by shifting my focus from myself to others, my behavior can change more naturally.

Instead of asking, "How can I be humble?" we should ask, "How can I serve others better?"

I know that I will face difficulties in the process of cultivating humility, but I will not fear, because God is always with me.

I'm struggling with derealization and depression, that combo just makes me feel nothing at all, I miss feeling things, may I have some guidance?

Lyna is our little daughter, she joined high school just this year. Our family ran into confusion with an NGO wanting to steal our school. The school is closed and we are struggling with a source of income. Lyna each day cries for missing her classes. It has been three weeks since this term opened and she is the only person not in school. Please pray for our dater to have any form of support as we wait on the Lord for another pour of financial blessings.

I am currently heartbroken from losing someone that mean a lot to me. He was someone that I truly cared about. I am in a relationship and can't totally give my heart to him because of loving the one that passed away. Me, Myself as a teenager have struggled with this as sometimes my parents may not allow me to do certain things I would like to do and this would make me mad and my temper would react quickly.

From my point of view we sometimes disregard the way we treat our parents because some people can only see them as people who control their actions. We can talk back and we can even talk badly behind their back.

This my brothers & sisters is not the best way to react with our emotions and temper we have with our parents as we should be slow to speak and slow to get angry according to James 1:19. Please remember to love and take care of your parents as they are children of our God too!! 🥹

Two prayers I want piercing and echoing through my day to day life to the point where they become active and sooo alive are: Matthew 6:33 and Psalm 37:4. These verses I long to live out.
It all starts with His Word and prayer, and I know that the rest will fall into place seamlessly. So I can go on and on about what I’m struggling with in life, but I rather just want prayers for where it all begins: His Word and prayer life.

He is sick with a sore throat.My nephew is one of those that can bare pain up to a certain point. In other words, when he cries from pain, you know it hurts. He has always been bad to get a sore throat when the seasons change as dramatically as it has from summer to fall. He also has asthma and bad allergies. I ask for your help in praying for him. I'm asking for prayer to handle everything that's weighing on my shoulders. I am not able to work at the moment to care for my disabled mother that became very quickly with developing a drop foot and is now unable to be independent, I now have to manage her rental property also along with being a single mother to a young child. It's very overwhelming but God says, "Take care of your parents."
