Day 2 of looking deeply at Bible verses

Mark 8:34-35
The Jesus called the crowd and his disciples to him. ‘’ If anyone wants to come with me’’ he told them’’ he must forget self, carry his cross, and follow me. For whoever wants to save his own life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it’’.

This verse highlights the challenges of following Jesus. Jesus says anyone who tries to save his life shall lose it. This is talking about how we cling on to out earthly desires and they become idols and we idolise them above our relationship with God.

But instead we must completely surrender ourselves to Jesus and consistently try to get closer to him and further for satan.

This verse also can be comforting because being a follower of Jesus can often be a lonely and narrow path to take. But that is because we are losing our lives for the gospel and Jesus so anytime something or someone is removed from your life, remember that your focus is living your life dedicated to Jesus and think to yourself if maybe it or they were what was holding you back from God.

Lord I thank you for discipline, discernment, deliverance, peace and wisdom. I pray for the person reading this may you overcome all battles and obstacles in your way. Jesus is with you and the angles. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Have Faith and speak authoritatively over your life. ❤️

A Prayer for Guidance and Courage 🙏🏻

God, in You I have all I need. But when trials come, sometimes I forget that You are in control. I need You to make me strong and courageous. Please give me the courage I need to trust in You. Remind me that You are with me, and that You will continue to instruct and guide me. Show me that You are near. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I hope God will forgive me for ignoring him and learning Islam.

I was doing so well following God and changing the ways I think but now I just feel like I don’t feel Him anymore and that I can’t stop worrying no matter what I do. Bad things just keep happening I feel so defeated and I don’t feel as strong in my faith anymore and I don’t know why.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you seeking guidance, wisdom, and discernment as I navigate my current situation at home. I am in need of medical attention, but the process has been slow and it has been quite frustrating. It’s taking time to be referred and get an appointment by other specialist I need to see.

This has required me to take time off work, impacting my mental and physical well-being and job - along with be worried of loosing my job.

At this moment, I choose to release all my concerns and struggles to you, placing them at the foot of the cross. I am grateful for your steadfast presence and support in my life.

I pray that through the blood of Jesus, you shield me from any negative influences or plans that may be lurking. I rebuke anything harmful that may come my way, placing my trust in your care and guidance.

As Your Word says in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” I cling to this promise as I seek your peace.

I’m praying that God has mercy on me. I’ve tested Him and I think I made Him angry this morning. Later in the evening, I repented and I need to keep fearing God.

Looking deeply at bible verses day 1.

Matthew 14:28-31

‘Peter spoke up ‘Lord if it is really you, order me to come out on the water to you’

‘Come!’ Jesus answered. Peter got out the boat and started walking on the water to Jesus.

But when he noticed the strong wind , he was afraid and started to sink down in the water.’Save me Lord’ he cried.

At once Jesus reached out and grabbed hold of him saying’How little faith you have! Why did you doubt?’

This passage demonstrates the importance of faith. When peter had a true faith in the Lord he was able to walk on the water with his eyes set on Jesus, reflecting how we should live our lives with our lives dedicated to God.

However, when the wind, which for us is the distractions in out life and our sinful desires(laziness, idolatry, lust etc), overwhelms us, our faith is weakened and we can no longer live on that path to Jesus but instead we sink and begin to drown.

This demonstrates how if we DEDICATE our lives to Jesus we can flee from all evil temptations and live in righteousness with the gift of strength from God.

I ask for prayer for my mom who is in a lockdown facility due to her mental status. She recently lost her husband and two dogs. I know she is so scared about everything with bills and her house and her only other dog that was picked up and taken to humane society. I ask for prayers for her dog to surround him with peace while this is going on.

PLEASE pray for my little cousin. He’s 3 years old he has dengue fever and it is up to the point where it can easily lead to death. His parents are very neglectful but it reminds me of the little boy that Jesus healed. I believe that God can save him. God bless you all

Please pray for my mom. She has been struggling ever since my grandma died and needs help to recover. I want her to heal and be her best self. I know that God has a plan for her and I hope he can help her too.

Hello guys, I will be doing daily Bible Verses to Spread the Gospel. - Matthew 24:36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” This means that only God knows the time, the date, the day, the month, the hour, the year, of when Jesus Christ comes back, and when Christ does return, he will judge both the living and the dead, separating the righteous from the wicked, as described in the Bible, with the wicked facing eternal punishment (meaning Hell) and the righteous entering into eternal life. (Meaning Heaven)

Hi , well I’m a former believer coming back to the faith and it’s been hard because I’m ashamed of my past ,and I’m filled with doubt and anger and I’m scared of my past sort of coming back for me in a sense that beacuse of it god doesn’t want me or that he won’t listen to my prayers and I’m stuck in what others may think of me as I come to the faith.
