God,
We are those who, in times of prosperity, become elated saying, "I am blessed," and conversely, in times of adversity, become disheartened saying, "I have been forsaken by God."
Guide us, who rely on our experiences and emotions, to rely on Your spoken Word, especially in the teachings and works of Your Son, Jesus Christ, so that we may know Your will.
Strengthen us to fulfill our duties as citizens of Your kingdom, both in times of prosperity and adversity.
