Bible Scripture Psalm 37:20 (KJV):
“But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.”
Revelation:
Psalm 37:20 declares the final outcome of wickedness complete and irreversible.
1. “The wicked shall perish” — Wickedness Has an End
This is not sudden emotion; it is divine decree.
Wickedness cannot coexist with God justice forever.
God is saying:
   •   evil has a limit
   •   rebellion has a deadline
   •   opposition has an expiration date
What stands against God will not stand long.
2. “Enemies of the LORD” — This Is Bigger Than You
This verse shifts perspective:
Your opposition is not just against you it is against God.
When people fight the righteous, mock holiness, resist truth, or persecute the upright, they are positioning themselves against the Lord.
That means:
   •   God takes it personally
   •   God defends it powerfully
   •   God resolves it completely
You are not fighting alone—God is involved.
3. “As the fat of lambs…into smoke” — Total Dissolution
In biblical imagery, fat consumed by fire disappears quickly.
This means:
   •   their strength evaporates
   •   their influence fades
   •   their presence dissolves
   •   their resistance vanishes
Not delayed.
Not partial.
Gone.
What God removes will not regroup.
4. God Doesn’t Struggle With Opposition—He Eliminates It
Smoke has no substance once consumed.
God is saying the enemy will not just fall
they will fade.
You won’t have to keep revisiting the same battle.
Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus,
I thank you that every enemy of righteousness and every work of wickedness has an appointed end.
What rises against you and your people will not last.
Lord, remove every persistent opposition standing against my obedience, my calling, and my peace.
Let every enemy assignment consume away until it has no substance, no strength, and no return.
I declare:
Wickedness will not prevail.
Opposition will not endure.
God is bringing finality to what tried to resist him.
Thank you, Lord, for being my defender and for completing what you have started. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.
