I'll be honest.

Have you ever experience like you know you suppose to be something else, like just as God asks us to be loving to other people but I often found myself being apathetic towards others and it concerns me. Before, I was saved i am independent and self centered, I don't really care about people even to my family. But then I was saved, i am annoyed with myself for being like this. The Lord tells us to preach the gospel but I can't even do it, not even to the people around our house and it makes me feel negative things towards myself.

Also, was anyone here felt like God called them to write a book? i don't know if it's me or idk

I can definitely relate with the feelings of wanting to become more empathetic towards others, praying to God to transform me into someone who is more caring towards others, but when I’m around my family I end up feeling like I’m closed off, distant, and selfish, and focused on my own needs and desires. I think what can cause it (specifically in my life for example) would be unconfessed sin, lack of seeking god, and the devil tempting me, and planting lies. I think just the fact that you hate being selfish speaks volumes! For example Galatians 5:17 “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.” And also the feelings that you used to experience that are focused around selfishness and struggle with for example: Galatians 5:19-21 “ “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” And another thing to mention with what aligned with the desires of the spirit is Galatians 5:22-26 ““But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” ‭‭You’re starting to hate these things for a reason, the spirit of god in you is trying to transform you and that has to begin with Him revealing that to us and then going through the process of hating it in order to be transformed by the renewing of our mind! For example Roman’s 12:2 ““And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Keep praying for strength to combat the enemies schemes and keep your focus on Jesus through it all! Even when you feel like you cannot stand yourself sometimes. I know that sometimes it gets really hard, just know that you aren’t alone though! (I know this is really long but I hope that this helps) ‭

Good morning dear Solace. Yes, I've had the urge to write a book for as long as I can remember, I even received a prophecy to embark on that journey few months ago... I'm a big procrastinator. I'm praying to God to help me out and through it. The case of feeling apathetic and some type of way towards people. I'll suggest you start by evaluating yourself. What made you become like that? Keep in mind that we have different temperaments and we tend to react to various situations differently. You need to study yourself and understand why you act the way you do and then ask for wisdom from God on how to better grow in that aspect of emotional empathy towards the people around you. James 1:5 Matthew 7:7 Talk about it with the holy spirit, study the word more and surround yourself with people who share the same faith and whom you can talk to about stuff like these and that can repre
