Bible Scripture Ecclesiastes 3:8 (KJV):
“A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”
Revelation:
Ecclesiastes 3:8 reveals discernment between emotions, conflict, and resolution.
1. Love and Hate Are Moral Responses
“Hate” here means rejecting what God rejects
sin, injustice, and evil not people.
Love must be governed by truth.
2. War Is Sometimes Necessary
Spiritual warfare is required when righteousness is under attack.
Peace without truth is compromise.
3. Peace Is the Goal, Not Passivity
God desires peace, but not at the expense of holiness.
War seasons prepare us to value peace properly.
4. Knowing the Season Prevents Confusion
Fighting in a peace season or resting in a war season causes damage.
Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus,
Give me discernment to love what you love and reject what you reject.
Teach me when to stand and fight and when to rest in peace.
Let my responses be governed by your truth, not emotion.
I declare:
I discern the season.
I walk in righteousness.
God is my defender and my peace.
Thank you, Lord, for wisdom in every season. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
