Prayer during fasting, stress, and spiritual struggle
Lord God Almighty,
I come to You in this time of fasting,
when my soul is weary and my heart is anxious.
You see my stress, my fear, and my inner struggle.
Cleanse me, Lord,
from all darkness, doubt, and despair.
Strengthen my spirit when the body is weak,
and give me the strength to stand firm in the spiritual battle
that I fight not only outwardly but also in my heart.
Clothe me in spiritual armor:
in the helmet of salvation,
in the shield of faith,
in the sword of Your Word,
so that I do not fall under the weight of trials.
Bring peace to my mind,
quiet to my thoughts,
and light to my soul.
Teach me to trust You completely,
even when the path is hard and dark.
Let this fast be not only a restraint of the body,
but a cleansing of the heart and a renewal of the spirit.
Guide me, Lord,
and give me victory over fear, pain, and evil.
I give You everything that troubles me,
and accept Your peace and Your will.
