I'm going through a very difficult moment with my friend. Our relationship is holding on by a thread. I really dont want to loose her. She said she wants out. When she told me that it felt like my heart was ripped out from me. I convinced her to give it more time to pray about. Loosing her would be my worst nightmare. I'm praying about but I feel like God is ignoring me because I only talk to him when I need him. I also dont know how to change that. Im not sure how to connect with him. Like its not like I can say hey how was your day. I'm confused. When I read the Bible it doesn't feel like God is speaking with me, it feels like im just reading from people that had a close relationship with him and were close to Jesus. I don't know where I would start. Any advice would be great. I have alot of other stuff going on too it would be too much for me if we end on top of everything else. In many ways she's been a reason too keep pushing forward and motivating me. Any advice

would help

Make sure to focus on Jesus and improving that relationship first before you and your friend, because after you fix your relationship with God he will be able to guide you and lead the way, that may mean he keeps the friend in your life, or maybe he takes them out of your life, either way it’s because God knows what we don’t, he knows our future and if the person will be helpful for harmful for us. And never loose faith if you don’t get what you want, God knows best

Most people say when you don’t know where to start when reading the Bible start with the gospels Matt Mark Luke and John because they tell the story of Jesus, his life, ministry, death, and resurrection, which is central to the Christian faith. But it seems like you need encouragement too so the book of Psalms may be good too. As for your friend it may seem like if you lose a person you really want to stay in your life your life is gonna be over but it’s not. It may hurt but why chase after someone who doesn’t want to be there? There’s millions of ppl to get to know or meet. Sometimes ppl are in your life for a season and I’ve had to learn that too. You’re never alone you always have God/Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus went through the same feelings we go through now. Feeling betrayed by friends (his disciples) feeling forsaken by God this is why He would always go off and pray so if the Son of God had to pray about these things how much more do we.

Bible Verse for this Prayer

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
