So my questions is, I have an adoptive mom and she’s now a widow in the past she used to mistreat me when I was little now I’m an adult, after my dads desease now I’m leaving again with her even though she’s mistreating me again with words everyday, it’s been 6 months I’ve tried being kind and showing her love in many expressions and always bowing my head down to her offenses, based on the bible and Jesus is it ok for me to leave and live independent now I’m 25 years old or should I stay and continue supporting her?

We are called to love but not be abused. It is fine to move on Don’t be unkind love and forgive but don’t be a doormat

Hi Laura, sorry to hear you are facing this problem. You can support your mom but you don’t need to allow this treatment to continue. Move on with your life but always be kind to your mom.
