Please pray for my non-practicing Muslim friend because I believe she is hurting or struggling, but also conviction hit her.

I just got off a call with her, we chatted, played some games for a little and she cried on call at times when I mentioned Jesus or when she heard something that may convict her… she said she feels selfish because she wants to change but she doesn’t want to lose her boyfriend.

She said one time recently she told herself she wouldn’t do it again (some addiction she’s going through, possibly lust) and she did and again, and again and again despite telling herself she wouldn’t do it multiple times.

She feels like if she keeps making this guy her idol, then God’s gonna punish her by taking him away from her, and she cried because she doesn’t want that. She said that if she shouldn’t have gotten into it in the first place, everything would’ve been fine.

Towards the end of our call, we were playing this Christian game and someone was talking to someone else about Jesus and about the love of God, how the love of God is irresistible. I told her to come closer so she can hear. She heard what the man said.

The man said:
“…one of my friends Eli. I was talking to him about this and Eli was telling me about this. He said he ran from God the hardest he possible could and he tried to find any other fulfilment. He said it was impossible. In everything, he could only think of the love of God that God had for him… etc.” and then it’s like conviction touched my friend because she said something like “No, I don’t wanna hear this” and then started crying. It was like those words were exposing something in her. And the guy continued “God’s love is revealed through this action of His Grace” and she was sniffling and crying.

Then, she said “I’m gonna go. I don’t want to be here. I want to just sleep for the rest of the day because today has been off. I want to sleep and not wake up until tomorrow and then everything will be fine again.”

So I want her not to feel condemned but convicted and that she repents and comes to Jesus. I also don’t want to press so much, but rather just be with her and that my company alone reveals the love of God without being too preachy.

This is a prayer I prayed myself just a while ago and I would truly appreciate joining in intercessory prayers for her salvation brothers and sisters, thank you.

Dear Father God,

Thank you in advance for saving Hayli. Thank you for speaking to her, for pursuing her. Help her. Do the growing inside her that needs to be done. Let the gospel speak and become living, alive, breathing in her soul. I pray she repents and surrenders, that she says yes to You. That she prays and never gives up. May she encounter You, may her soul thirst for You, speak to her. Thank you for that conviction. Thank you for that shining Your light on her. May this make her heart tender and her soul humble. May she run to You, to the cross. Make Your love irresistible for her to ignore and impossible for her to say no to. SHE WILL BE SAVED IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Bring her closer to the cross, Lord. Help her see and admire and be awestruck at who Your Son is and what He did for her. She’s all Yours, God. In Your hands she rests. Do what is meant to be for the sake of Your salvation manifesting and becoming reality in her. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
