Bible Scripture Psalm 100:3 (KJV):
“Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.”
Revelation:
Psalm 100:3 establishes identity, ownership, and authority.
1. “Know ye” — This Is Foundational Truth
God calls us to know, not guess or assume.
Faith becomes unshakable when it is rooted in revelation, not opinion.
2. God Is Creator, Not Consultant
“It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves” reminds us:
• we are formed by God
• we are sustained by God
• we are accountable to God
Self-made identity leads to confusion; God-given identity brings peace.
3. We Belong to God
“We are his people” means:
• chosen
• covered
• valued
• claimed
Belonging eliminates insecurity.
4. Sheep of His Pasture — Divine Care
Sheep depend fully on the shepherd.
God provides:
• guidance
• protection
• nourishment
• rest
Your life is safe in his care.
Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus,
I acknowledge you as Lord and Creator of my life.
I surrender every false identity and self-made definition.
Lord, remind me daily that I belong to you.
Lead me, protect me, and provide for me as my Shepherd.
I declare:
The Lord is God.
I am his.
I am safe in his pasture.
Thank you, Lord, for loving me, leading me, and claiming me as your own. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
