I jokingly told someone of recent that, it's like the Bible is only referring to missionaries in the jungles to have the fruits of the Spirit.
If you must work successfully and will not run away from the field, you must have fruits of the Spirit.
Patience, if you're not patient enough, you'll scatter things, with the ways the villagers will treat you.
I started DBS with a guy. One day I was teaching him, rain was about starting so he ran home. I was in my hut when he came back in the rain with wrapped Indian hemp asking me if I will take because of cold.
How will you handle that? Someone I'm teaching the Bible o 😀
Every year, only God knows how much I spend on buying Bibles for new converts. Both electronics and hard cover Bibles.
They farm and sell when it's harvest but to take money and buy Bible is not in their mind until I buy.
Those who couldn't afford Bible will afford buying Aso Ebi for village festivals, burial and can buy motorcycle or bicycles.
In 2022, Ibrahim, I pressurized him to buy Bible but he never bought one until I bought solar Bible for him. The same Ibrahim will tell me he doesn't like the cloth I wear and buy me another one.
You know what?
If you're not careful, you'll probably think they are not serious with their faith in Christ but no, it's not like that. You have to be patient with them.
Allow them grow in peace.
This year alone, Ibrahim has bought 6 Bibles for new converts he won by himself for Christ sake.
I have not less than 36 children I put in schools, some of them, their parents told me they don't have money. So if I take them, that is my problem.
Some are orphans and victims of insurgency anyway.
Those who say they don't have money for school fees will come to my hut to tell me about a festival coming up and if you hear the amount they spent on the festival or celebration, ha! You will almost get angry and try to send their children away.
Missions will break you.
You see the picture below, that's the way I look at another covert who came to tell me he wants his son to go to school but he doesn't have money now until harvest time and also rain wet his Bible.
Am I the rain?
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
