Bible Scripture Ecclesiastes 11:1–2 (KJV)

Verse 1:
“Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.”

Verse 2:
“Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.”

Revelation:
These verses speak powerfully about faith, generosity, and strategic distribution.

1. “Cast Thy Bread” Requires Faith

Casting bread on water looks foolish naturally.

Water does not hold bread.
It carries it away.

This is an instruction to:
   •   sow when you can’t track the outcome
   •   give without immediate return
   •   release control

Faith gives without visible security.

2. Return Is Delayed, Not Denied

“For thou shalt find it after many days.”

Some harvests are long-term.
Some returns are seasonal.
Some blessings mature quietly.

Delay does not mean disappearance.

3. Diversify Your Seed

“Give a portion to seven, and also to eight” teaches wisdom.

Do not invest everything in one place.
Do not limit generosity to one stream.

This is spiritual and practical:
   •   diversify giving
   •   diversify relationships
   •   diversify opportunities

4. Prepare for Uncertainty

“You know not what evil shall be upon the earth.”

This is not fear it is foresight.

Generosity builds resilience.
Sowing builds security.

What you release today may sustain you tomorrow.

This is a season where God is teaching you to:
   •   sow boldly
   •   give strategically
   •   trust long-term returns

The seed you release now is positioning you for protection and provision later.

Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus,
Give me courage to sow even when I cannot see the outcome.

Deliver me from fear that holds back generosity.
Teach me to distribute wisely and trust you fully.

I declare:
My seed is not wasted.
My harvest is coming in due season.
God multiplies what I release in faith.

Thank you, Lord, for teaching me faith-filled stewardship. In Jesus faithful name I pray, Amen.

Bible Verse for this Prayer

2 Corinthians 9:6-8

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
