I'm 11 years old, and my name is Hazel. I have been having a hard time knowing if im actually saved. I have told Jesus I accept him as my Lord and Savior. But I feel like nothing had changed. I've rededicated my life to him a few times because I truly have no idea if im really saved. I've also prayed for an answer. Please tell me ways I can grow closer to jesus, and ways I can tell if I've been saved. Thank you all. Have a blessed day 🙏 ✨️

Dreams of all sorts are interesting, I know I’ve had my fair share of weird dreams. When it comes to interpreting a dream, we should always approach it with prayer. Though remember, Not Every Dream Comes from God. I’ve heard of 3 different types of dreams . Dreams from your soul, dreams from Satan, and dreams from God. Though I need to do more research and reading on it, I cannot tell you for sure. I recommend you pray and ask God for interpretation and confirmation on whether the dream was from him. Continue to seek God and I’m sure he will make it clear for you. But I don’t want to give you an answer that I’m not 100% sure on.

You’re welcome Hazel. Thank you so much for your kind words. I believe the same about you. I admire your zeal to understand your faith. You want the truth, I can see that in you. I know you truly desire Jesus and are genuine. God has planned a bright future for you, don’t forget! I’ll still be here to answer any questions you may have at any time.

Your faith seems genuine, but I cannot be the judge of that, I am not worthy. Only God is. The only thing is that you don’t have to follow God because you are afraid of Hell. God has not given you a spirit of fear. Tell him you’re afraid.

Some bad motives for following God would be for money, power, fame, friends, a job, etc. As Christians there’s nothing wrong with pursuing God because we need clarity or help in a certain area, but that should not be the primary reason we desire to walk with God. God is so much more than what he has to offer.

Take some time to think about your motives. Why do you worship God? Why do you believe in Jesus? Ask yourself these questions. What do I expect from God? Am I using God for my own agenda? If you find any wrong motive, pray to God and be open and honest. Repent and ask for forgiveness, and then for a pure heart (Psalm 51) At the end of the day, only God knows what’s in your heart and why you want to be with him.

That is great Hazel! Just remember that following God is a journey, trust in him no matter what. Soon, God is going to deliver you from fear and you will become courageous and brave. I believe it.

Pray to God to see him for who he is and for a change of heart. Most importantly, be honest with him and tell him everything; he knows how you feel. The saying that you heard is correct. As Christians, we should be pursuing God for who he is and his precious heart, not out of fear or worldly lust. Jesus doesn’t want you to be gripped with fear or overwhelming emotions. Hell is a real place, outside of this dimension. It was originally created for Satan and his angels due to their rebellion and arrogance against God. God never intended to place us humans in Hell. Yet, unfortunately, many people choose not to follow God and be with him; because of that, God can do nothing else but condemn them. Do not be afraid, I urge you to see God for who he is. He’s not evil, waiting for you to fall so that then he can judge you and condemn you. God is loving, sweet, Holy, and gentle. He keeps on pursuing you despite anything. In the Bible it says he leaves the 99 to find the one. Don’t be afraid, focus on God for who he is. All will be well.

Bible Verse for this Prayer

Romans 10:9-10

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
