Alright, but my advice is, when you read Bible, you can say "I do this to hear Jesus" instead of completing chore list. Sometimes when we pray to Yahweh , we might just speak words , all about us. And Yaweh was like "Well, again?" And this is how you can pray probably. When you pray, get to your room, close the door and stop your activites. And imagine, Everything around you, your bed, your room , everything was fading away from the world, even your body.And it's just your soul, heart and God's heart, and nothing else. Think of things that annoys you, that weights you down, think of it like a red smoke, Take a deep breath, and imagine that Red smoke is coming out of your mouth. Then you can start to pray, and bow to God. Prayer ain't specific feelings, not words but heart. Pray like this : First 1st: Pray for forgiveness , Second 2nd: Prayer for others, Third 3rd, :Pray for yourself and your faith, Fourth 4th : say a grateful prayer to Lord (Thank God for everything!!) , Fifth 5th: Pray the Lord's prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) Also, Talk with God in prayer, not to God. Everytime when praying, have a time to pause. Let us walk by Jehovah, not for Jehovah. After the last seconds of prayer, linger and pause. Ask God Jesus Christ:"What do you want to say to me this time" everytime when you ends a prayer. Then God will give you sign. It could be a voice. I recommend you to ask God to show you a sign after you pray , and open your Bible to see what God has installed for you. Jot that Bible verse down in a notebook.
