I have known Jesus since August 2024. I truly met Him after spending a lifetime saying I was a Christian, but I wasn't. I have certain issues with perfectionism, I don't know if it came along with something from my childhood, but I have been blaming myself for everything, especially with that passage from Hebrews. Sometimes I just blame myself and don't change, and that's where the problem lies. I don't know what's happening to me, I feel a weight in my heart. Everything seems like a tiring cycle of getting better, falling, getting worse, getting better... I know it's not a big problem, I can't detail it now. But does anyone have any advice? I also accept prayers 🤍

Good morning, I’m 76 years old with so much trauma and drama in my life I too prayed for forgiveness and wisdom. I am still studying the Word but learning that so much in life is dictated to us through media, family and our own misunderstanding of how can our Father love someone so ignorant of the life He not only wants for us but makes available to us every minute of our day. The first thing I needed to learn is to try and truly connect with my beloveded Spirit. That’s where I started, this has been a daily struggle to quiet my mind so I can hear what is being said. Next is was to keep my mouth shut. No opinions, no offering advice, no judgment, and no gossip On e of the hardest thins for me and still is, is to forgive myself. Looking back at my life and the damage I have done in ignorance of the true meaning of Gods word and love and forgiveness has to be excepted even though I still can’t understand it. We don’t have to be who life has thrown at us. God has made us with the ability to be so complicated that we are a danger to ourselves. Yet it so simple I still am struggling to understand. I’m sure I never will be able to comprehend and that’s ok. We don’t need to necessarily understand, we need to except with out question so we can save ourselves. Saving the ones we love and also the ones who have hurt and trained us to be who we are is not of Gods doing. It’s always hard to put away the feeling of guilt knowing we have hurt the ones we love. So, forgiveness of self, and truly forgiving others, keeping my mouth shut to stop the automatic words of defense , criticism , judgment. Be around people that have a better understanding of the real words of the Bible have helped so very much. You can’t be a recovering alcoholic and work at a bar. Every day I’m training myself to listen, be quiet and observed to learn wisdom and discernment. The realization that I have lived 77 years without a true u understanding of Gods intentions, His words, and the truest belief in our Father was utterly devastating. Do it was time to get over myself and live in Gods word. Sounds easy but the toughest thing I’ve ever done . Prayers and love for your faith and desire to call out for the love of God.
