Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.. O Lord, You are always near.. You have drawn near to us with Your love and have become closer through Your incarnation.. You have become with us, even within us.. You have placed Your Spirit within us.. and united with us through the sacraments of Your Body and Blood.. You are near and desire nothing but a close relationship with You.. I always see You with open arms, ready to accept every person, as if declaring; "Draw near to Me.. do not stand afar".. Your hands were nailed to the cross to declare that they will remain open.. So how can we stand far from Your wide embrace! How great is Your love and humility.. for You are the One who invites us to draw near.. and how proud and miserable we are.. how can we be lazy, distracted, and distant, content to know You from afar?!! You are near at all times, especially in times of distress.. but only those who draw near to You feel Your closeness.. while those far away think You are in Your heaven, You are beside them, surrounding them, even within their hearts!

Training: Draw near to God with a true companionship, and do not settle for a weak relationship with Him.. and remember that His arms are open and He draws near to those who draw near to Him.
