I try to pray, but I can't. I feel hatred and anger in my heart when I try. I don't know what to say in my prayer, I only know how to ask God for help, and when I don't know what else to say beyond that, I give up, frustrated and discouraged, and I don't touch it for the entire day because I want to avoid frustration. My spiritual life is rotting, I am insensitive, and with each passing day, nothing changes. I need a miracle because I've tried what I could, and nothing has changed.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
