Bible Scripture Psalm 37:16 (KJV):
“A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.”
Revelation:
Psalm 37:16 redefines true wealth.
God is teaching that value is not measured by volume, but by source, peace, and righteousness.
1. Small With God Is Greater Than Much Without Him
“A little that a righteous man hath” means:
• provision that is clean
• resources without sorrow
• blessing without compromise
• peace without corruption
What comes from God carries no hidden cost.
The riches of the wicked may be large, but they are:
• unstable
• stressful
• contaminated
• temporary
• maintained by fear and deception
2. God Blesses What Aligns With Him
A little with righteousness:
• lasts longer
• multiplies easier
• brings peace
• attracts favor
• increases in due season
What God blesses grows without striving.
3. Comparison Is the Enemy of Contentment
This verse frees you from comparison.
God is saying:
“Don’t measure your life by what others have. Measure it by My presence and My favor.”
Your “little” is protected.
Your “little” is sustained.
Your “little” is enough.
4. God Is Your Source, Not the Size
Riches without God drain the soul.
Provision with God strengthens the spirit.
God values obedience over abundance.
Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus,
Thank you for teaching me contentment and truth.
Help me to value righteousness over riches and peace over possessions.
Lord, bless what I have.
Multiply what you have placed in my hands.
Remove every spirit of comparison, envy, and dissatisfaction.
I declare:
What I have from God is enough.
What God gives me is blessed.
What God sustains will increase.
Thank you, Lord, that my provision is clean, protected, and filled with peace. In Jesus mighty name, amen.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out of it.
