Kairo is a bright and brave 2-year-old boy who has been fighting to breathe since the day he was born. When he was just 4 days old, he stopped breathing and was rushed to a private doctor, where he was diagnosed with laryngomalacia — a condition that causes the soft tissues of the voice box to collapse, making it hard to breathe.
He needs emergency surgery within the next few weeks or else doctors have advised that there is nothing more that they can do for him, but I believe that we serve a true and faithful God.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
