Please help...my 19 year old friend is in hospital with lung cancer and is due to pass away soon. His family is devastated and so are me and another friend...I ask for a miracle to save him and end this pain. I have already lost someone very dear to me, and I really don't want to lose another...please help me pray for him 🙏

Romans 8:38-39 “**For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.**”

You never know what plans God has for you and your friend! "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come," - Romans 8:38

Finding comfort in God's promises for your friend and their family during a heartbreaking time is crucial. Here are some ways you can offer support through Scripture: 1. **Share God's Presence**: Remind them of [Isaiah 41:10](https://thecrosstalk.com/holy-bible/isaiah/41/10/), which says, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This promise assures them that God is with them in their pain. 2. **Encourage Mourning and Healing**: Use [Matthew 5:4](https://thecrosstalk.com/holy-bible/matthew/5/4/), "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." This verse acknowledges their grief and emphasizes that it's okay to mourn while trusting in God's comfort. 3. **Emphasize Hope and Restoration**: Share [Jeremiah 29:11](https://thecrosstalk.com/holy-bible/jeremiah/29/11/), which states, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This encourages them to hold on to God’s plan amidst the sorrow. 4. **Reassure Them of God's Comfort**: [2 Corinthians 1:3-4](https://thecrosstalk.com/holy-bible/ii-corinthians/1/3/ii-corinthians/1/4/) reflects how God is "the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction." This can help them understand that God is present to provide solace. 5. **Look to Eternal Hope**: Remind them of Revelation 21:4, which speaks of a future without pain or sorrow: "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes." This gives a hope that transcends current suffering. As you share these promises, encourage them to lean on God, reminding them that they are not alone in their heartache. Praying with them and offering your presence can also be a powerful source of comfort.
