I have a question: so I’m going to church for the first time in a very long time tomorrow morning (it’s a Lutheran church) because I’ve recently grown a lot in my faith with God. Anyways, I’m 14 and I’m a girl, and I want to know if it’s appropriate for me to wear a hoodie that says “faith over fear” with some flair leggings or if that’s too casual

Hiii im also a 14 yr old girl, just wanted to say don't worry about what they think because as a church they should seek for people to find salvation and strengthen their faith, not be worried about appearances. Luke 6:37 NIV [37] “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Matthew 6:25 NIV [25] “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

I’m a 14 year old boy as well and I really don’t think God cares about what we wear but what is on the inside if you are wearing it to get attention that yeah it’s a little weird but if your just doing it causally and you wanna go to church for the lord I don’t think he cares

The Lord wants you there as you are. If the hoodie and leggings are respectful then that is ok. You just go with an open heart and a passion to soak in all Gods love and grace. Love and blessings to you! Oh P.S. don’t wear the hood inside!
