What are some ways you have learned to allow yourself to yield to the holy spirit? I find a hard time yielding to the holy spirit and understanding he is a person not a thing but someone that dwells inside you. I have a hard time with treating my body as a temple amongst other things. I know the gospel is simple yet I find myself making it more complicated then it is. I know that if you love God you will obey and keep his commandments. I would just like prayers and maybe advice of fellow brothers and sisters. (: I love ya’ll

One thing I’ve learned is God whispers because He is so close to you. The devil will yell because he is far so it can feel like the Holy Spirit isn’t in you and temptations are loud. But you just have to realign yourself with God and go to a quiet place to connect with him. I like to just sit in silence and take a few breaths and after either turn on some quiet worship music or read my Bible so that I can hear his voice. I hope this helps sister! ❤️

Don’t be so hard on yourself. We are all sinners. We’ll never be perfect. We can choose to follow his commandments, but we will make mistakes. Jesus Christ came to forgive us, 7, 77, infinite times.
