1 John 1:9 KJV states, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." In other words, come as you are and ask God directly for forgiveness. Repent Every Day.

James 5:16 KJV
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." This verse is advising you to confess your sins to trusted believer's.
