How do I hear The Lord? I go to my room close my eyes, pray that the lord will speak to me and clear my mind. I've done it plenty of times, but my thoughts just keep overwhelming me, and I can't ever even tell if he has told me anything. I try to listen but I dont know how to.

i am 13 and battle with lust and the same thing, i feel distant from God, too sinful. just fell into lust too. but i will rise up with God, and some tips: -read the bible -pray -stay silent in your own room with no distractions and sit in Gods presence

Read the Bible. Meditate on what you read. Use tools like commentries to help you understand. Whatever God wants to speak to you already there.

There are multiple ways God speaks to us and one of them is reading the Bible. If your thoughts are cluttering your head, tell that to God, and ask Him to calm you down and focus on His voice. There are times in our life when we fill ourselves with sin/noise that we can't hear God's gentle voice anymore. Grow close to Him, remove things in your life distracting yoi from Him, and find a quiet place.

Have you done a light fast? Read His Word on an empty stomach. It's very powerful. The Holy Spirit will appear
